Money Shift?
#2
money shift is when you mechanically overrev the engine by putting it in the wrong gear i.e. going 80mph in 5th and instead of downshifting to 4th, you put it into 2nd.
it costs a lot of money to fix the bent valves and/or replace the engine, so they call it a money shift

ive read the SE forums and it seems that can go both ways...
either you bend valves and/or destroy your engine because of a misshift, and you are out a lot of $$
or nailing a shift perfectly as joe said, i.e. "that shift was money"
either you got the shift 0% or 100% lol
