welcome Angel

Im not sure I can help you a lot when it comes to apartments as you'll have to check it youself. Defender knows nassau pretty good though so I would listen to him

But when you are settled and you are looking for a fun spot to bring out the fury of the Z06, I can defenitely help you.

Oceanside, Baldwin, Rockville Centre, and parts of Valley Stream have some very nice areas in them. They are all around Freeport. Parts of Freeport itself are somewhat slummy... as luckysgal noted.

You will have to make the trip here and check those places out ...

My daughter is looking for a apt. mate in Valley Stream, but there is no garage and she already has two cats !!
thanks for the feedback...and for the heads up on Freeport. How far is Valley Stream from Freeport?

As far as the other 2 cats...no worries, my can could probably eat one for lunch and she would not even notice.. j/k!

1000 bucks is going to be real tight if you want a garage, but I will see what I can find for you.
$ 1500 is ok if it is something nicer...$ 2000 tops and it would have to be a pimp-house!

HI here is a map --- you can see Freeport in about the middle:

You can see the different living areas there.

My daughter apparently found a room mate so that idea is out the window ... some of the worst areas to live in on the map are hempstead, parts of freeport, and roosevelt. To give you an idea of travel time ... it takes about 25 - 30 minutes to get from Lindenhurst to Freeport, without traffic. It would be about 15 minutes from valley stream to Freeport. Freeport to Garden City takes 15 - 20 minutes, etc.
