Nice work. Good to see the little civic get a new lease on life. I used Por-15 and their seam sealer when I restored my camaro it's great stuff and will last for a long time.

I love working on this car! It's so incredibly easy and intuitive! I really wanted to have an actual tachometer on the dash so I can better control my shifting, and found a good deal on a dash cluster from an EX/DX. As I wanted to keep the same mileage on my dash, I had to replace the speedo from my old cluster and put it in the new cluster. A couple screw later, and I had it swapped out!

nice, jon. you went in the opposite direction that most people go. most start with a civic or integra then get a s2k. you got your s2k, boosted it, then got a civic hatch...lol. it's a piece of cake to work on, even if you didn't have your extensive s2k knowledge.

Thanks, it's been a lot of fun to do all of this. It's nice to bring back a car that would have otherwise been junked. I'd like to eventually put something a bit more powerful under the hood, but the great gas mileage can't be ignored.

Haha, it's funny how it turned out; I was actually thinking of the same thing recently. My S2000 was the first Honda I had ever driven or been in, so it basically sold me on the brand!

Sorry for bringing this thread back. Does anyone know how much it costs to get body repair such as this done to a car? I just picked up a project car, 1984 nissan 300zx turbo 50th anniversary edition, but I'm finding too much f'ing rust. Contemplating parting out this car or fix it if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Also if someone can recommend a shop that can do such work in the metro are, pref north NJ I would really appreciate it. . It's breaking my heart to rip this car apart and part it out, this car in its day was such an awesome ride and still think it is.

Soul coughing I pm,d you. Not sure if you got it, sorry for bringing your thread back.

a shop would charge you a few grand to replace both quarter panels. then add paint on that. it's going to cost more to fix it then the car is worth.

I'm thinking the same thing. Maybe need to sell or cars for kids.
