Default Never let someone else drive your car!

So I finally gave in and let one of my friends drive my car. We were going moderately fast getting onto route 1/9 in Secaucus and he pushed it way too hard around the turn and faster than I could say anything we hit gravel and he fishtailed back and forth. We smacked the front against a concrete divider wall then spun and hit the back against it. You can even see part of "Potenza" imprinted on the wall. I can't believe what happened, I couldn't look at him in the eyes, or else I was going to hit him repeatidly in his face. He says he'll take responsibility for it and pay for everything, let's just hope he makes good on his word.

Even if the car is totalled, I'll still get another S, so i'm not going anywhere. I'll update this post with pictures if I ever take them.

Damn, sorry to hear.

Your friend, given your generosity for even letting him drive your car and probably knowing how dear it is to you should've drove it with ease and not with a lead foot (IMO).

Hope things look up for you.

From what my mechanic says, his insurance should cover it because he was driving. can anyone here confirm or deny that?

The other guy's insurance can't cover it because I have collision. We're going to pay for it to get repaired.. about $7000. Can't go through my insurance because we'll get dropped. I'm going to post a WTB post in the for sale forum, but if you guys have any of the following lying around, I'll buy it off you: Headlights, Taillights, Hood, Fenders, bumpers.

I'm very sorry about what happened.

I feel the need to warn you that serious body work always takes longer than expected and generally costs more as they find more damage once they get into the repair.

Good Luck
