NYC Marathon (26.2 miles) Nov 5, 2006

NYC Marathon

Anyone run in NYC Marathon today? What an incredible human feat for some people to run under 5 minute mile for 26.2 miles! That is an incredible strength and endurance. I did 26.2 miles going to and from Circuit City today in my S. If anyone ran today in NYC Marathon, regardless of your time, you deserve a commendation!

I didnt run this year but plan on it once in my life time....my dad has done it 8 times...fastest time....4 hours 46 mins.

You have to start gradually if you are interested in running a marathon. Perhaps you should begin with 5K and 10K, 10 Miler, half marathon and finally marathon. To run in NYC Marathon, unless you are a fast runner, you have to win lottery for a slot since there are too many runners who want to run.
