Cross Bronx Expressway is THE worst road in the Metro area since its a major truck route. I take that road to work everyday, and since I take that road everyday, I know where dips in the road are. You just need to know when to switch lanes. It's not that bad really.
My set up is Skunk2 on '06 shocks.

I don't know about the S2000 yet, but my S4 is pretty dumped and riding on 19's with 35 profile tires. It was rough at first getting used to it, now it doesn't bother me. The ride is rough at times, but never had any problems. Driving through Manhattan specifically I just drive slow unless its down roads that im familiar with. The only issue is steep driveways and speed bumps. Slow and deep diagonal incline. H&R coilovers switching to a more softer Vogtland.
My S2000 will probably be the same ride height if not lower on T1R B52 Dampers.

I'm currently on Swift springs which were OK until recently - I commute to the Bronx daily and the roads there are horrendous, so I'm pretty confident my shocks are toast. Looking into some options now, most likely installing Koni's.
