Reputable Honda Dealerships?
Today i went to put my top down and it stopped at about 3/4 of the way down. So i put it back up and noticed a hole in the top above the drivers side latch. And there were spots in that area that were ash colored, is that a sign of wear? I drive to the dealer (Atlantic Honda) and the service guy says he'll have his upholstery guy look at it, most likely it'll get patched up . I bought the car less than a month ago and there going to do a half assed patch job ??!!! Am i expecting to much for a new top from these guys?
Has anyone had any good experiences with a good Honda service dept in the Long Island area?
Thanks,
Manny

Honestly....I dont know of any good Honda dealers. They are all a$$holes. Anyway, the ones that I know to stay away from are North Shore Honda and PS Honda. Others will chime in.

I can't say I don't like the service, HOWEVER--- a MF of mine (who used to race his CRX ) drove my car and asked me if I did a 'money shift'. I had. So apparently HE could tell the difference in how the engine worked. I took it into Honda City to complain of 'sluggishness' and a 'boggy feeling'. Honda City took it for a spin and said they saw no reason to do a compression test (which my MF requested; pretending he was my DH). My MF and I weren't surprised.
Billman, can you do an engine compression test?

reputable dealership??? isn't that an oxymoron???
if you bought the car less than a month ago you can return it for a full refund (it's called the lemon law)...so go there tomarow and tell them to give you a brand new top or you'll return the car and tell them "I have 30 days to return it according to the lemon law" DO NOT SETTLE FOR A PATCH!!!
fyi: IMO there is no such thing as a reputable dealer they always screw stuff up one way or another.
good luck. I hope I helped and everything works out well for you.
