Sad day . . .
This morning, while at work I got a call from my parents, telling me the vet says it's time. My dog's been on chemo pills for a while, and it was time to let her go.
On the way back to work, a funny thing happened . . . I had like 10 cars drive by me and give me a thumbs up for my car. Usually I have ricers trying to get me to race lol. Maybe Bergen County's getting a little smarter? Or maybe it was from the rain . . . I even stopped by a gas station to grab a red bull, and a young guy was looking at my car and actually made sure the woman that parked next to me didn't hit my car with her door.
I usually don't like the attention I get with the car, but it was pretty cool to see the comraderie innate in all car guys. In a way it was reminding me of the brotherhood in Fight Club lol. If nothing else, it made me feel a little better.

Sorry about the bad news man, its always hard to lose a pet, especially one you're close too. You'll always have good memories to look back on and i'm sure you gave your dog the best life he could've asked for, and thats something people tend to forget.

Heartbreaking. My best wishes go out to you and your family. I always said the day my pooch starts to need any sort of major high risk procedures I would do whats best for it not me.
I had a family friend that kept her pet alive for so long that it was miserable and eventually turned on her a few times. Its difficult but you are making the right choice to let it go.

I'm very sorry for your loss.
The only two times I cried in the last couple decades are when I had to put my dog to sleep and when I sold my s2k
I did just get a new puppy and he sends his condolences too.
