hey guys, anybody have a hookup at a toyota dealership?
Im looking to lease a new Tacoma TRD access cab in 6 speed manual. All the local dealers Ive tried want ridiculous monthly payments unless its automatic.
thanks

Went through the same with a Toyota 4Runner. Dealer won't budge on the price, even for last year's models.

Tacoma is best in a class with only 3 other options. Frontier and Canyon/Colorado. No I won't say Ridgeline because it's lame lol. Tacoma has been updated so I don't expect any deals. Why not look at the Canyon or Colorado? If you are going to lease going for those might not be a bad idea. Plus they have been closing the gap with the Taco.

Just chiming in to give you some advice from my many many years in the auto business.. For starters pickup trucks usually dont lease well but ff you're looking at a car/truck/suv etc that has the option of either an auto or manual trans then the auto will always lease better regardless if you happen to find a hookup here or not. Get an auto if you want a cheaper payment.. The residual aka resale value on the auto is much higher on the automatic due to popularity and demand so it will lease better. I'm sure you'll also be very limited on availability which is another reason dealerships wont budge on price cause theyre not in stock so no urge to move the unit that doesn't exist. They should have several automatics in stock so may consider budging a bit if its an in stock unit they want to move off the lot but on the other hand its a class leading Toyota so won't need to negotiate to sell if its selling itself for years. Same thing goes with Honda where I work at

thanks for the replies guys.. i was looking at the colorado/canyons too, but none of the dealers seemed interested when i said i wanted the Regular(small) cab Z71, all they care about is crew cabs
Forgot I had a friend who is a manager @ Lexus, he got me a connect at Manhattan toyota.. picking the truck up today

2017 TRD sport Access Cab, magnetic gray, v6 4x4 6 speed manual, with $2k worth of options..

$2500 down, 360 / month 12k miles per year for 3 years

Of course there are better deals out there with other trucks, but this is $60 / month less than any other dealer would offer me so I think I made out pretty well. And I get to drive stick instead of gayomatic lol
Now I have 3 cars in the fleet
