what kind of paint did you use, house paint, oil based, high gloss, etc. Just curious, cause my father did something similar, but it doesn't look quite that good.

Rustoleum paint from Home Depot. I bought a gallon but only used less than a quart. You will also need 100% mineral spirit to get the 50/50 mix. The roller needs to be the high density kind so there's less bubbles. Sanding the truck down is half the battle. Aside from sanding it took about 6 hours between Cody and I to finish with 3 coats.

No clear coat. Don't need one, don't want one.
