Stickies seem like such a good thing, but I swear you sticky something and it drops off the planet...

You will find GVC BMW CCA makes no attempt to run our autox events like SCCA, and believe me that is not by accident...

Can't we all agree to disagree?

I've been to many SCCA events at BIMP and we always change workers on the fly. I find the worker change to be safer than some parking lot events.

I've also been to many Porsche/BMW events and like the slower pace and more relaxed atmosphere.

The heat format of the Porsche BMW events is nice. I find I can concentrate on improving more with the heat setup. It is also closer to how the National SCCA events are run.

I would love to see the heat format used at local SCCA events, but with the number of cars we put through the course it would take too long. It works at National events because registration/tech inspection/course walking is all done the day before. The first car is off at 8:00 am sharp and the cars are run 20 seconds apart until 4:00 - 5:00 pm.

Oh - I have to agree with Dave, I lost this post when it became a sticky. I had to go to MyS2K and find it under posts that I had contributed to.

Works for me...

So, seriously, should I stop using stickies, or has this little experience taught you two to raise your eyeballs 1"???

Eh... There was a good chance I would have lost the thread even if it wasn't a stickie. I have a tendency to not see things directly in front of my face, let alone 1" up!

Phew! I will actually have my v710s ready for BIMP! I dropped them off at Holtz this morning and they told me probably by Tuesday they would have them done. Cory called at 4pm and said they were ready and he was able to get me the "special" pricing, $37 total.

These things are BIG! Hey Jeff, do you know if the v710 265s measure wider than the Victo 265s? The 225s look like they might be wider too. Or maybe I'm just used to looking at SO2s and my mind is playing tricks on me. Either way I can't wait to try them out!

We need the Toyo RA-1s added in here so I can see the difference.
I'm off to toyo.com... I'll be right back.

What is the suggested wheel size for that monster 265?
The 245/45-16 RA1- says 7.5-8-9 and on the 7.6" OEM wheel you can see it would contact the road better if the wheel were a bit wider, but it is not horrible and as soon as they start to wear it is less obvious.

Your fronts were 0.6" wider and your rears were ? wider
