jguerdat,
the damage doesnt look too serious and costly. it looks like all you need is a new front bumper and also a new hood.. the estimate from the pain shop should cost no more than 2k. atleast you were not hurt

Sorry about your accident - has to hurt.
I also think it is too bad that your front plate and bracket was completely destroyed - or the body shop forgot to put it back on, or... time to get the two little plastic plugs too!
Best of luck with the repair.

Ended up setting the repair up with Dorschel. State Farm gave me ~$2250 to fix it and that's not replacing the headlight unit (nearly $500 by itself). Hood is just over $400. Monday morning it goes under the scalpel or jackhammer or whatever.
If you've steered me wrong, I'll hafta set my goons to work on ya...

I'm anxious to see how the colour match works out...its such a nightmare with Spa Yellow.

Finally!! Got the car back today (just as it started snowing, of course). We looked carefully for blending and it looks good so far. I'll check it out under varied lighting conditions to be sure but it's much better than the first attempt. I almost think they knew the color was off the first time based on comments that were made at various times.
Kinda tough switching back into precision mode from driving the Civic (no sway bars, needs shocks, WHAT power?, etc. Tried to make sure the pointy end was in front and the shiny side up, fortunately, all with good effect.
Alright, dammit - where's spring??

So glad to hear you got your S back!!!
And I can't wait to see it ON A WARM AND SUNNY DAY!
"varied lighting conditions"
My first CRX-Si, an '87, was red, the hood had been repainted before I bought it. The car looked fine during the day in various lighting conditions. However at night, in a lighted parking lot the hood appeared orange while the rest of the car was red. You could see so clearly where the paint was blended into the original color. It was amazing it only showed up under those parking lot lights at night!
