Holy Crap!
I just called Hagerty, $246 per year to cover the CRX-Si with an established value of $9,000
That's $100 deductible for everything and $100,000/$300,000 coverage
And I never have to turn in the plate
By adding Rex to the MGA policy I pick up a multi-car discount on both
And, even if I take the CRX-Si off the Liberty Mutual policy I do not loose that multi-vehicle discount (when it's in effect) because I still have 2-vehicles on the policy, the s and the Frontier
I need to go sit down and have a beer, this seems too good to be true, I must have forgotten to ask some kind of question...
I'll call Hagerty again tomorrow to double check on this, it seems like a no-brainer though
Rex would have superior coverage for much less per year
And if there was ever a claim, it would have a non-disputable value of $9,000, Liberty Mutual can not offer that because they just don't see Rex as special, they just see it as a 22-year old Civic
What an interesting day

Hi Doug. I find this thread interesting because I am setting up an appointment with a LM agent to go over all my coverages.
You might want to look into getting an umbrella liability policy. In some cases, you will end up with much higher limits of liability coverage for the same premium. The umbrella carrier will require you to carry primary limits of $300K. That might reduce the premium of your primary policies if you are currently carrying $500K in liability coverage. The premium on the umbrella may be less than or equal too the amount you save on the primary policies AND your umbrella will give you $1M in total coverage.

Hey Bill, good luck, shopping for insurance can be a complete pain
At this point I'm good as in got enough coverage
About the only thing I need to resolve is the insurance on the '90 CRX-Si and I think I'm going to just go with Hagarty
By the way, who do you have the Austin with?

Hagerty! You get some good coverage and some good literature in the mail and by e-mail. I like the value guide and the auction reports. I'm pretty sure they don't care how many miles you rack up. Did you ask them?

I went from Hagerty to Grundy after the Hagerty people told me it was ok to take an incidental trip while on a pleasure trip, but I better not have an accident while I took a specific trip as a errand say to get milk.
There restrictions were much more extensive and stricter.
Your results may differ, but my experience with Hagerty was flawed. Grundy was awesome.

Mileage was not a concern for them, but then again I never get more than a couple thousand miles on it per season
And of course, the coverage on the CRX-Si is not what I would consider a high value policy
