Chevrolet Discussion Thread. Which Chevy would you drive to the levee?
I was supposed to start this last weekend but forgot to do so. The manufacturer for the week is Chevy.
So which current model Chevy seems buyable to you? Have you owned any in the past?
The only cars that interest me from the Chevrolet brand are the Corvette and the Camaro (although between the Mustang and the Camaro I'd go with the Ford).
The SS also looks interesting but then it only comes with an automatic. On the truck side, I do like the Silverado but prefer the F-150 or the Tundra. I like the presence that the Suburban and Tahoe SUVs have though. They look mean.

I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado and wouldn't trade it for anything. I would love to have a new camaro, corvette or next year's chevy SS which should have the option for a manual transmission. The new SS is impressive but like A2 said it only comes in automatic.

My Chevy 2500 work van has been relatively flawless in 8 years of straight up work without much in the way of love. It did have the common malady of all full size trucks these days, some front end wear but otherwise just lubricants, filters etc. Hell it is still on the factory battery!
My CMC (same as Chevy) PU is fantastically comfortable towing the S to the track. It is a relative "stripper" model but it pulls fine is and does what is asked without protest.
I have had several old Chevy's in the past. A 70 4dr Bel Air. What a boat, 8 people could comfortably ride in that beast and a 73/4? 2 dr Malibu. I can still smell my grandparents cigarettes! It was better than walking
As with the rest I would love to try a new Vette. May get the chance this summer. The Camaro looks good esp z28. The SS is taking after Ferrari and spontaneously combusting so that is maybe not on my list!

Having owned the original 1969 Z28 back in the 70's the new Camaro's just don't interest me.
As soon as I get back to work I plan on trading in our 02 GMC Sierra 1500 and picking up a 2014 model.
Love the new Corvette as the C5 or C6 just don't do it for me.
Would have to be a convertible though....

C7 Corvette Convertible to replace the S. I'm actually giving this one some thought...
The Silverado would garner attention from me if I had to replace the Frontier, but I'd more likely be in a F-150 or Dr. Tuna.
Everything else...meh.
