Hello from Buffalo
Hello, is there any S2K meet in Buffalo/Rochester area? The S2000 I procured is almost one year old and I would like to bring her out and meet with other enthusiaists.

Unfortunately, there isn't much activity in Buffalo/Rochester. There are a few of us that autocross and are typically at the WNY SCCA events held at New Era Stadium. Watch the Upstate Autocross Schedules sticky for dates.

Hi Rudyy,
We have been a bit slow out here in the west side of the state. It would be great to have some stuff organized this year and I will look to get some dialogue going on so we can do something this year.

I saw a few S2000 around town driven by young and old people. That will be great if a group meet can be organized. I have watched a YouTube group cruise around the Niagara Falls on the Canadian side, but that event happened many years ago.

rudyy - We've had several drives in years past. The Solidarity Drive for Levi that happens every July in the Adirondacks is something you should plan on attending.

Marc (Crazy Schizo) is in your neck of the woods. If you haven't tried autocrossing, you should go to one of the local events and Mark (Conedodger) will make sure you get up to speed.
We make an annual trip to Watkins Glen to do a track day. If you are inclined to drive the car on track, you can participate in that event. If not, you can still show up to meet the rest of us that will be there. We can get you to go out on track as a passenger in an instructors car and we do usually go to dinner as a group to the Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen on the evening of the first day we are there.
Keep visiting here and posting on here. Sooner or later you're bound to find an event you will likely attend. Also this forum is a good place for tech tips if you ever need those.

There are local car meets that have s2k attendance such as cars and coffee at the Eastern Hills mall. There was a rumor of a WNY Honda meet being organized this year along the lines of the Honda Tech meets of the past. I know of a bunch of local s2k owners that will be out and about come spring.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Auto crossing is something I would like to try one day and I hope being in the late 40s, I will not be too old for that.

In your 40's you're at the right age to start performance driving like autocross or track days. So when you are ready, just state your intent. You will find plenty of enablers here
