insurance rates for S2000 in Rochester?
Just wondering how much people are paying for insurance for the S2000 in the Rochester area?
In my daily day dream of owning one, I've often wondered about that issue.
Right now, I'm paying $420 / 6mo for my 2001 Maxima with Allstate. I'm not yet 30 and have 1 speeding
ticket back in July 2000.
Thanks.

Can't answer, don't have my '02 Spa yet.
I can tell you one thing, I have owned a CRX-Si for a long time and 10 years ago the insurance was pricey on that, I was in my early 30's with lots of speeding tickets. I bought a Nissan pickup truck and turned the CRX-Si into 10% usage and my insurance went down. I was shocked, I added a vehicle and the price dropped, it was all about the occasional use.
Now I have a newer Nissan and will register the S2000 for about the same small percentage, which ironically enough is true to the miles I drive, because I will have 4 vehicles now.
Welcome! Now get out there and get an S2000! I know about the "dream". I started doing that when I saw the SSM concept in 1995. Now some 7 years later I'm actually getting one, and let me tell you, there has been some serious saving going on during those years! Good luck!

My insurance is $380/6months. We have 3 cars and I think it's setup as "pleasure" or something like that. That's through State Farm. I'm 29, married and our home owners insurance is through the same agent. A good friend of mine was quoted roughly $1800/year. He's not married and has "a few" tickets. I figure insurance on S2K's will be all over the place depending on the individual. Hope that helped.

Well, I SAW my car yesterday. Didn't look bad with the front clip and right headlight removed. Damage appears to have been mainly outer sheetmetal although some extra damage was found when parts were removed (they're gonna hafta replace the $500 headlight after all)...
