I predict a quick demise to winter.
I'll take that bet I say winter lives past the dino meet. Wanna shake on it?

Updated 12/29/2010 on first page

I have a half day today so i will be back over working on it. Plans for today are to pull the driver airbag in prep for the steering wheel, and most likely pull the entire rest of the airbag system as well. I also plan on removing the a/c today despite how many people have told me to keep it lol. I appreciate the advise however i only find myself using the a/c about twice a year and it's a lot of easy weight to shed. This isn't a daily driver for me, if it is unbearably hot i can always take another vehicle.

^ not to an S meet You will never hear the end of it - ask Aashish (aka Mr Civic)

Did I miss where you discovered you could remove the air bag w/o issues? It's my understanding that if any part of the airbag system is malfunctioning - or in your case missing - you will have a permanent light on... ?

My Civic can whoop an S2000 a$$ most times....

........provided Spa Guy is driving it

anyways

Ellen the SNOB says only S2000's must get driven to S2KI meets. Since Jake is a newcomer he must drive his S2000 or as part of the initialization ritual, buy us all a round of drinks

J/K - You can drive anything you want Jake.

For the driver side bag only, if you were to remove that for a steering wheel you just replace the bag with a 2ohm resistor.

In my case where i will be removing everything there is no fix that i am aware of. So yes, the light will be on. What i am going to do is take apart the gauge and unsolder the light. This is what some other people on here have done also.

Ah, glad there is a work around for you. All of my restoration work has dealt with cars built LONG before air bags

I think Jake needs to buy a round as the newbie anyway no matter what he drives

You are welcome to your opinion. I'm just trying to be a better driver and I know where I'm good and where I'm bad. I'm not ashamed of it. My instructor(s) never said I was good enough to be bumped up to Intermediate, so I know where I stand
