Geez. Whomever told you that was so wrong...I can't stop shaking my head.

There's no solder-work to be done on the cluster. Just pull the f'n light bulb for the SRS light. Whomever said there was solder work to be done is a moron.

That aside, give me a day or two to look back through the Helms manual and double check, but I think if the SRS module is pulled, the SRS light doesn't come on. Not 100%, but the easiest way to do it is just to pull the light bulb out of the cluster since you're pulling the steering wheel anyway...
Your right, i wrote desolder when i posted earlier but in fact you were the one to tell me to just pull the light. I had a half day today so i did some work on the car, got both airbags out, and the srs module and the srs harness. I already had the seatbelts out from before. With everything out of the car the airbag (SRS) light does come on. I will be fixing this soon by pulling that bulb out.

Getting a new belt in the morning and pulling the a/c tomorrow. Yes, i know the defroster uses the a/c. This is a project car, i do not plan on driving it anytime i will need excessive use of the defroster. I plan on only driving this car when it's nice out and with the top down.

Do the CRs that came without a/c have a different set of hvac dials? Without a AC button?

Had to rethink things...
I remeber the radio delete had a different plate around the start button for sure, I just can't remember what was near the a/c...

Eh of I can't find one I'll just take off the silk screen and wire the ac button up to something trick. It's not my #1 concern at this time.
