I will be there as part of the S2000 contingent . I hope Paul and Anne will make the lengthy trip to the Glen to join in on the fun. Maybe I can get Jake to sign up this year.

This tune from the movie Rush should be our anthem

Wrong assumption. You should be fine. Mark from NH is boosted and sans rollbar.

I don't think the Pocono event is going down this year.

I'm down to do this event but the roll bar issue is holding me back because I'm a tall guy 6,2. I don't want to make plans, pay for the event, stay in a hotel, drive up there, and then not be allowed to race.

Chrisaltima went last year and ran without a roll bar, but he is a lot shorter than I am.

Jlozano - in the past SCDA has not had issues with tall drivers. Jeff (blueosprey90) is about 6.1 and when he was driving top down they black flagged him for his head sticking above the roll bar. He adjusted his seat, slouched a little and put the top up and has never had problems again. That being said I can understand your concern. But don't worry on account of not having the rollbar if that's the only thing holding you back.

Alternatively you can run with NASA NE. S2000 is an approved convertible with them and they don't check for rollbars either as many times as I have run with them. Let me know if you have any questions.

Just keep your top up. I think that is the key. The track can have concerns even if the organizers don't. That being said if you plan to make a habit of tracking you really should be thinking safety.

I think I'm 6'1" only from the waist up. Doc measured me and says I'm 5' 9". In my youth, I was 5' 10.5".

Put helmet on and see if you can fit under the top. If so, come and run top up like me. In order to pass the SCDA tech inspection, though, you do need a pulse.

I have a Buddy Seat Rail, but I don't think it makes much difference in how tall I sit.

A 2 - I ran with NASA NE doing a hyperdrive and they told me I couldn't run a full day event without a rollbar.

pgss2k - I have no issues running with the top up, ill do just that if I can get in. The problem is I'm not doing that many track events right now. Last year I only did one, if I start doing this more and more, I will have no choice but to do it.

blueosprey90 - When I did a hyperdrive, I did it with the top up and fit without any issues. I still got one of those, LOL. Buddy seat rails wont do anything for me.
