Montreal F1 2018 Hotel?
Hey guys,
The wife and I are thinking of going to the F1 race in Montreal this year. Has anyone gone before. we need a recommendation on where to stay that is close to the track. Im hoping I can walk to the track but from what Im reading it doesn't sound possible.
any have a recommendation?
thanks everyone!
PS - Is there a Quebec forum in here? I was looking and going to ask any of our friendly neighbors but i dont know who to ask.

I have been a few times. Depends on your budget and what type of scene your looking for. Last year we ended up going last minute and stayed in the dorms at Concordia university - grey nuns building. Cheap and easily accessible via subway. Lots of other options a short subway ride away. Airbnb will get you into some great one of a kind vacancies as well.
Either way, a great weekend to be in Montreal, downtown turns into a big party.
Don't forget to check out the casino on the island and Supersex (maybe defunct now but lots of other alternatives)

It's been a few years since I've gone. When we used to go we stayed in Plattsburg NY.
A tip I could pass on: Park at the Longueuil station and take the subway to the island. If you go on Saturday - Buy your subway pass for both Saturday and Sunday. This will save you a lot of time on race day.

We went a few years ago and stayed somewhere in the city near the metro. Like has been said the ride to the track is easy plus buy your pass for Sunday ahead. The metro will be crowded but that is to be expected with the volume of people going to the race. We parked in a secured parking garage but what the cost was and if it was connected with the hotel I don't remember but will try my wife and friends who went for better details.
There are great restaurants but be prepared to bring your own bottle of wine. This is a nice city to visit on it's own so if you can extend your trip beyond the race.
Enjoy the trip.

Your not walking to the track, not happening. The race is on a island and you need to take a cab there. You can walk to a certain point, but you not walking from your hotel to the track.
PM me and I can help you out.
