Thumbs up NEXT Albany Area Drive

I've been thinking about planning another drive around the first or third weekends in August.

We could do the tried and tested Rte.2 Drive like we did last year OR we could drive around rural Rennselaer county and maybe stop at a winery or two.

Since moving into the area, JJ and I have had the opportunity to drive some scenic roads in Rensselaer county and I think it will be fun.

Should you have a route mapped out that you think will be fun, then by all means present it. We'll tally all the suggestions as we get closer to the 23rd so I can work on Route planning and then start a poll for dates.

Post up your thoughts and opinions folks

Here is a map of the Rte2 drive I planned for a Civic Si drive last year. It varies slightly from the drive that you guys did.

I voted Hudson valley drive because Im not sure if we've done it before. It may also be easier for people to our South to attend. Im thinking of Ellen, John and Jeff (Blueosprey90) here.

Rt.2 is one of my favorites! The road over the mountain reminds me of that Pikes peak video. If only we can catch it when the slow pokes aren't on it!

That would mean an early start around 8 AM or so. After that the route is packed with traffic

^ I have no problems with an early start. It may be hard for people driving up for the meet though

Not saying we can't though. If everyone is ok with an early start and can come, we can start at 8 AM
