I don't think it has anything to do with enter/exit. More to do with rt foot. Heel more to middle of the floor tugging on the rt mat pin and pulling the mat to the center of the footwell.

I'll sign up for wanting this fix, as soon as I find out how to upgrade my '01 single anchor to the newer dual anchor setup. I wish my only problem was that bunching up you've described.
