Solidarity Drive for Levi - July 15, 2017
#23
At this time, and no true performance car to drive, I have to decline on the run.
My daughter is also involved with 4H and that's the day she is having her work rated at a local fair.
There are a great group of people on this trip too. I'm holding out for a late summer drive perhaps, if the Skyline is finished.
There's always a Guptills meet too.

Scouted out some of the Solidarity Drive roads that you all insist upon.
The T Road looks good as does the EP road. The only trouble with the EP Road is that the washed out bridge that Mark used to love has been repaired! Box culvert, new paving - so no more stopping in Deliveranceville! But absolutely beautiful driving through there today.

9:45 A.M. sharp departure from start location.
We are going to start at Northway Exit 28, Ticonderoga. That's at about milepost 94, a good 1 3/4 hours north of Albany. Meet at the Sunoco station, south on Route 9 around the corner from the blinking light.

I haven't driven the car since the RUD event at Palmer. I need this drive to learn how to shift - break myself in for the Watkins Glen event.

Ok so Jake and Jeremy are out. Mark is on call and won't be coming either. Dave is dependent on the moods of the weather gods. So it will feel much like the very first drive all those years ago. Only three cars and the threat of rain.
If anyone else is on the fence, you should come. If nothing it motivates the guys that organize to keep conducting the drives every year.
I'm holding out hope to see a surprise visitor or two.
