sti or wrx wagon
alright.... i'm in a dilema.... sti or wrx wagon? I question the sti for a family vehicle... but the wagon would be better suited... but dammit I want something fast .
I saw that you can use some of the sti suspension componants on the wrx wagon, and strut tower mounts etc, etc, but why can't they make an sti wagon. (yes go to sleep crazy lady)
too bad the s doesn't come in a hard top wagon LOL

Val, get yourself over to VanBortels and drive them back to back. Yes the STi is an upgrade from the regular WRX, but the regular WRX is no slouch. I suspect you would be very happy with the performance of the WRX wagon, and as a Mom, you could use all that space behind the back seats.

the funny part is when we went there initially they wouldn't let me drive the sti. Stating that they don't allow that unless you are actually going to buy it. WTF! That almost made me leave the dealership right then and there. Heck when we went to honda to go test drive the s there was no issue.
I did end up test driving the wagon and was pleased, BUT it definately needs some suspension work done to it. My truck has stiffer suspension than the wagon. Of course I'm hoping it was due to low tire pressure or just that particular car.
I do plan on going back and test driving the sti for giggles. I want to see what I'll be missing.
I have also been looking at the subaru forum getting good info to get ideas on what mods can be done, etc etc....

My brother has a WRX sedan, it definitely moves. When he went to first look at it, they wouldn't let him drive even the WRX - talk about WTF!! But they eventually did.
Yeah, it'll be hard to get test drives on the STi or Evo. They are afraid you'll want to take it out for a session of FnF.
