Update! S2k is feeling better!

Way back in the day I decided to upgrade as it just felt that the OEM clutch or rather pressure plate couldn't hold power if launching the car around VTEC or 6000 rpms. Later I realized that this car wasn't intended to be launched like this, but since the tranny was coming off, it was time to upgrade.
But just for shiz and giggles, what is the OEM pressure plate rated for?

Good question I do know it gives out at 300 WHP at 7K rpms! So the upgrade to ACT was done and fixed the issue. Then upgraded turbo kit again and upgraded the clutch to a kevlar clutchmasters and good to go. If you are stock though I wouldn't worry about it so much to be honest, if you have exhaust and intake the stock clutch will hold. Just my 2 cents though. I always use a OEM throwout bearing with my clutch change and no issues. The ACT was great and mine lasted 6 years and 55K miles and it wasn't bad I just decided to change it when I had the engine rebuilt lol. ACT is a pretty good choice for a street clutch

Very good.
Ordered up a full ACT clutch kit and going back to the OEM flywheel.
Won't be able to do the work for a good couple weeks though.

Jeremy, will you be able to make it to the Levi drive? July 20th. I know you haven't done the drive before-but MAN are the roads and scenery great!
