I called Social Security to see what my retirement benefits might look like.
No government handouts, I suppose. "Forget about it!" they said, urging me to keep working. When by chance I mentioned my "addictions", they suggested that I consider that second job.

A fellow attorney from a neighboring town called today. Seems that he is a member of some exclusive "gentlemen's club" - membership 20 - that once you join, you never leave unless you die or move.
Well, he had a speaker lined up to give a talk to the group in 2 weeks time about the diamond and pearl trade. But today, having fears that the guy might have absconded with the jewels, he wanted to know if I could be his back-up plan for the talk.
I offered to expound on one of the two major accomplishments in my legal career, thinking they might have some interest to his group. "Hell no!", he says. "I want you to speak about your racing." There's a free meal at a swank restaurant in it for me, so I said yes. I'll try to do a little slide show with some pictures and then maybe close with this video.
Of course, it's all off if the guy with the diamonds and pearls resurfaces.
