To hell with a theoretical track day at Palmer. Third Saturday of July is tentatively the Solidarity Drive.

VSCCA dropping two race events next year.

Our mission next season is to get Levi to double the annual mileage on his S2000 (if not more)

Too bad about Palmer. Jeff D did tell me that this year, Palmer lost a lot of money with the way the VSCCA event was set-up. They seem to be surviving though. I really hope they gain a good footing. Can't have one of the best Northeast tracks fade away.

The Auto Museum is running an exhibit on Sam Posey. Here are two of the cars from Sam's own collection:

Might unhook the battery tender and take the S out on election day...we'll see. This year the number of times the S came out of the garage was probably close to most other years, there was just no long trips made. I don't think the car ever left the county.

Changed the oil. Still a slight seep leaking from the Canton oil pan in the same area (driver's side rear), but not bad and I'll just leave it. Washed the car, filled the tank and applied StayBil and covered it up. Need to pump up the tires and vacuum the interior and it will be ready for winter storage. First need to move the trailer out of the storage barn so the S fits "on the inside". Did about 2,400 miles this year.

Also raked a lot of leaves yesterday.

Had a full detail done on Friday, no rain predicted for the following 3 days.

Scheduled to go into storage Sunday morning. Sunday about 2 a.m. I am woken up by rain coming down!

Ended up driving the S to storage 45 minutes away on wet roads. Didn't go over 30 on the back roads or 50 on the highway.

Had to do a complete re-detail of the car with quick detailer. Changed the oil and S/C fluid and put it to bed.

I'm considering renting one of those long term storage spaces for the S2000. Anyone have experience with renting from Uhaul or other such companies?

45 min. away For me I'd be in Vermont or Canada! Nothing closer? At least you're all set for winter.
