Default What tires should I buy?

I like to get some opinions on some tires. I was thinking of getting the new Dunlop ZII's. What do you all think. He is a video from Tire Rack.

I love my Bridgestone Potenzas RE-11.. But they Expensive, and low tread ware.. I'm looking at Sumitomo HTR Z3 for my next set., half the price of Potenzas with double the tread ware.

There is no wrong tire provided you buy the one that specifically matches your needs.

ZII should be good but it is largely untested. You would be among the first to use it. Hankook Ventus RS-3 is another option in the same category as the Z II.

The Sumitomo is a good everyday tire. If you have plans to autocross or track then go with the ZII or RS-3. Otherwise the sumitomos should be good.

The star specs are really really nice tires. Really really sticky tires. I'd go with them.

I need tires this year and I'm probably going to try and get the Dunlop Z1's again because I LOVE those tires!

If not, the reviews I've heard so far about the ZII's have been positive so I'll get those instead.

Lots of choices and opinions out there on this subject
Hankook R-S3 gets my vote
The performance/price relationship is really hard to beat
I have gone through several sets of the R-S2 and am now running the R-S3's, and that's because I'm just so impressed with this brand
They offer amazing performance in the dry, and actually are very good in the wet as long as they are not nearly bald

I also put the Hankook Dynapro RF_10 All-Terrain Tires in LT-Series on my Frontier PRO-4X
They are now on their 2nd or 3rd year and they continue to impress me
Hankook is a very impressive brand

I agree, great street tire. Had the rear dancing a little at the Levi drive. Very controllable for me. Not a good choice for autocross.

The brand new Hankooks on my brand new car, I have to say, are probably the worst tire when it comes to road noise that I've ever had.
