If you have a few extra nickels to rub together the differences between an '01 and an '02 are huge!
The '02 and '03 had lots, and lots, and lots of upgrades, the glass rear window being one of the most important ones.

I'm aware but I'm willing to sacrafice an 02 for a 2000-2001 to get a lower mileage car considering I will probably get a hardtop for the winter anyways and once the top needs replacing I will buy a glass window top. The one in Iticha is nice but a little steep for me.

Back in the day I think we cam up with a total of 27 improvements, and some of them are major, effecting the tranny/clutch and the suspension

Jnterestig I will have to look into it. I don't plan kn driving the car aggressively and if I end up finding what i am looking for it shouldn't be much of an issue. I will let you know how the search goes I found one that i am going to call the gentleman on my break and hopefully it's available because its what I am looking for exactly.

Just looking for an s2000 that was taken care of that won't give me any problems for the forseeable future and for the right price, pretty much what everybody is looking for when searching for the perfect s2000. I am willing to sacrafice an 02-03 for an 00-01 but at this point I am open to anything the worst I can say is no thanks.

Sounds like a perfect search criteria to me.
Good luck, showing flexibility will help you find more options.
Do you have any colors you would just have to say no to?
I know for me there is one color I would just refuse to own, regardless of the deal.

That's would be Suzuka Blue. Even if it was a steal of a deal where you could get it painted you are still stuck with the just as awful blue leather interior IMO.
