Default Bicycle hook up?

This is a long-shot, looking to buy a new bicycle for my wife. I thought I remembered someone on the board is a dealer. Looking for higher end brands such as Specialized, Trek, Jamis, Canondale, etc...

I have a guy in Queens. Jimmy at Spin City cycles in Forest Hills. Tell him Henry with the Specialized Epic and S2000 sent you. He has taken care of many people that I have sent to him. He may not be the cheapest but his service is top notch.

You may want to try some of the shops out in LI but I hear they can be pretty steep. If you are looking to go high end you may want to hold out for winter. I saved hundreds by doing that. You won't save much in the 500 range but if you are serious and going into the 2k range you can save a nice amount.

At least you are in the right ball park for a decent bike and not trying to get some 100 POS out of sports authority. Many start biking and give it up because they go cheap and are riding these heavy ass made in china monsters that never switch gears correctly. Jamis used to have some nice ones at that price point.

LOL I too have a 15 year old mongoose crossover! going to get it dropped off at the local bike shop for an overhaul so I can start riding it to work . I used to ride 16 miles a day round trip on it. From hicksville to Melville. No lie
