yeah I always worry about the tails when we get into moderate turbulence, it would have to be some EXTEREMELY SEVERE turbulence to take down an A330, very scary. As far as lightening I have been hit by lightening a few times and it usually is no big deal, Avionics might flicker but usually fine, I just dunno what the hell happened
