Verizon Phones + Instant Messaging

Default Verizon Phones + Instant Messaging
I got the Verizon Voyager for Cody but the AIM on that phone has delay, which defeats the purpose of having "instant" messaging. So now he carries a Sidekick just for AIM.

Does anyone have Verizon Phones and uses instant messaging? Any problems with sending/receiving messages? How about a Blackberry?

I would hate to go from Verizon to T-Mobile just to get the Sidekick.

I have the blackberry and its instant right away, And you also BBM which is blackberry messenger, messaging between blackberrys also instant

i had a sidekick and just cancelled that line and now do everything on my BB. no real delay to speak of

nothing compares to the sidekick's aim ray. its the best out there. also most windows phone have instant aim too. And the palm ones also.

blackberry aim is pretty good if you want to stick to verizon

but BBM and gtalk >>>
