Sorry, I did not make myself clear. It is not a matter of robbing a bank specifically, but an example of breaking another law. Punishment should be based on the crime, not you income.

If you have been unemployed for longer than a tax year, maybe. But since the point is to hit you where it hurts you may be forced to sell something of yours, or clean highways for a while.

If you know that even though it will not cost you any $, a fine will greately incovenience you then you may think twice about doing it again.

I dont like this law, police are just going to be on the look out for the big rich people now and ignore the rest.

If a cop sees a lambo doing 80 mph and sees a s2000 doing
85 who do you think he'll pull over?
