02' C32 or '02 M3

They're both approximately in the same price range ~$50K.

Which one would you get and why?

Be serious! Even the M3 is a long ways away from being anywhere close to a race car. Probably the closest thing to a race car out of the showroom for under $80K and sold in the U.S. is an Integra Type R or Z06.

The M3 is a very good handling, very powerful sport sedan.

I guess that's more like it.

Anyway, I was only trying to describe the difference b/w the Merc and the bimmer, and I didn't choose a very good word to do it.

Definitely the M3, I love the M3 my friend has now, and I love stickshift. =) No more automatics for me.... except during stop and go traffic... I hate traffic! Can't really VTEC the engine when it's bumper to bumper. Although I can rev the engine really loud to scare people

Hmm. The M3 is awesome, but I dunno, the looks of the new
M-Bs are growin' on me.

Automatic transmission in a car like that is shameful, period. As is a somewhat lame-looking steering wheel (Mercedes, I mean).
The seats don't look terribly supportive, either... but looks can be deceiving...

Instinct says Mercedes just to be different. Every yuppie with a paycheck wants an M3, these days. (Apologies to all yuppies with paychecks.)

Heh heh... so true.

-edit-

Siper2: I'm just curious, no offense or anything, but do you own an S2000?? I mean it's pretty cool to be a moderator if you don't own the car.

PFB, you must mean the S2000 instead of the TypeR.

Anyways, my vote goes for... well, most of you already know.
