I sent him a email regarding his post and he gave me a call on a restricted number asking me about the email I sent in possibly the most garbled up English I've ever heard. I told him that I had trouble comprehending him and that I'd appreciate it if he sends me this information over email. Let me know what you guys think. He has 37 units available according to his ad so this could prove to be a great buy if it's legit.

 

If this isn't a scam, it could likely be a non North American format. I say make sure its not the Japanese/European format before going for it.

you're either buying stolen goods or being scammed.

Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo vigorously enforce pricing. Plus, there's not much margin in them anyway...Best buy doesn't buy PS3s for $300 and sell them at $500 for example.

 

Stores make little on the console. The money is in all the games/accessories that go along with it.

 

+1 last time i checked sony was losing money on each PS3....

 

My buddys sister bought a wii for $200 off some site and when she got it, it didnt work. I came over to see it and it didnt have any thing inside of it. I didnt open it up but it was less than half the weight of my wii.

 

WoW that sucks! If it seems too good to be true, then don't even worry with it. There is so much frauding and scams on the internet that you could find these(fake) deals all day and make yourself want to believe they're legit. Don't waste your time and hard earned money.
