Default 1st to 2nd.

i was wonering what rpm do you guys shift into 2nd gear?
this is just everyday driving. I find that when i am starting out from a stop, the car behind me is like on my ass and waiting for me accelerate away, its only when im shifting into 2nd. it kills me, from then on the are way behind even when shifting at about 4,000 rpm. ie 3rd to 4th etc..

is there a faster way to accelerate? cause when im in first starting out then shifting into 2nd, the time for me to baby the clutch so that it wont start jerking about is when the car behind me is on my ass and waiting. to me it is alot harder to shift into 2nd than any other gear, also it takes the most time finish the upshift.

oh yea i saw this guy in a s once, and once the light turned green bamm this guy was like literally half way to the next signal light before the other cars even reached the middle of the street. wow that was awesome, he didnt even make any noise doing it like tire chirp or much engine noise. i was envious how he could do that.

Don't have that problem either. Maybe you need to press down a little harder on the accelerator.

I say forget those punks taligating you. What's the big hurry? You take off how you want, and shift when you want. I know I do. If I feel like taking off, I do, but a lot of the time, I just chill out of a light. Let them get close. I could care less as long as they aren't hitting my car.

When someone tailgates me I just touch brake pedal with my left foot enough to cause brake lights go off. It's funny to watch car behind you just back off as they think you are braking.
