Default 2001: A Space Odyssey

I'm watching 2001: A Space Odyseey, and I can't believe they made this back in 1968. The special effects were limited but man I can hardly find any noticeable issues with the simulated space environment. I wonder if there's any documentary on how the film was made...

what happens at the end, i just remember him when it was just the last guy all by himself and he starts drifting i think in his head. and then the screen just shows different agles of space, then i fall asleep. anything happen at the end of all that?

I was pretty young when I saw that on the big screen but I remember it well.

I have an awesome book called "The Lost Worlds of 2001" by Arthur C. Clarke that goes into the making of the movie in minute detail. Oddly enough, it's the one and only copy I've ever seen.

Ah, the wonders of the Internet. I just checked, and you can find it used on Amazon:

Yeah, the movie is extremely confusing. The book is much better and actually has a very logical ending. I higly suggest reading the book.
