I went to Ebay and they had about a dozen buy now original boxed set of 24 season 5.

I looked on the official 24 website and the release date is late September of 2006. How can ebay sellers get their hands on the originals 3 months before the US national release date? They do play on all US spec DVD players. They are not the Swap Meet style ones either. They have the original box (same one as seen in Europe).

I bought some very nice looking box sets of TV shows while in Iraq last summer. Some examples: Alias (Complete), Deadwood (Seasons 1&2), and 24 (Seasons 1-4).

The packaging looked great, the disks looked great, but the DVD quality totally sucked. On the 24 set, you could even see which Fox station was broadcasting the particular episode, as that's how it was recorded. For $10 a set, however, I got what I paid for.

 

i work in packaging. international packaging is usually NOT the same as domestic pacaging. so, if it is the US box you are seeing for sale overseas, it is more likely that it is a pirated version. so buy at your own risk.

i just got LOST season 2 on torrentspy, and it rocks. straight up widescreen and everything. probably better than what i can buy right now.

 

Interesting... but FYI They are repeating the entire Season 5 of 24. Every Friday for 2 hours on Fox!
