went to go see 311 in atlanta yesterday at the hi fi buys amphetheatre. so many people were out there partying smoking weed and getting so drunk. unwritten law opened first followed by papa roach. they were all good but 311 just blew em all away. so much energy on the stage and off the stage it was insane. everyone was just jumping. they played there old songs like "down", "who's got the herb", "flowing", and "hive" to name a few, as well as some of their new stuff off the new cd "don't tread on me". They also had a really awesome long drum solo from "applied science" where all the members of the band were playing on metal drums. there was roughly around 10,000 people there i'd say. never seen so many cute girls in one place in my life. we were seating in yy way back from the pit but way in front of the lawn. it was pretty good seats but i decided to walk a little closer right before 311 came on. well this girl ended up starting talking to us and we later found out she was a supervisor for hi fi buys and let us into the box seats!!! it was awesome. so now we're in this box with lots of cute girls. well one of the ticket guys comes in to check for tickets and he gives us armbands so we could go anywhere we wanted since we were with her. after the concert 5 of the girls that were in the box with us came back up to me in the crowd and started talking to me and asked for my number and stuff. it was such a great concert. afterwards we went to eat at the varsity before going back and crashing at a friends house. glad i didn't drive the S... carpooled in a camry haha

 

311 are one of the best bands I've seen live.. they just bang it out

 

311 and TOOL are the two best live shows I have ever seen...

 

An evening with the Cure was the best for me, they played for about 4 1/2 hours.. I'll be telling people about it when I'm 80

 

Live was here in ATL at "On The Bricks" not too long ago and man do they sound as good as they do in their recordings!
