my friends and I know a couple people who most people consider attractive. esp the asian girl factor with white guys. one girl in particular is dumb as a rock, makes horrible decisions in all areas but gets bailed out by rich guys who try to %#ck her. she gets job offers, taken to nice places, offers for entertainment tickets, etc. she just seems to have an invincible luck, where as other people who are good hearted, work hard, don't get anything or perhaps negative attention.

obviously, the world is not fair and that's just the way it is, but just wanted to hear your thoughts on the topic. i guess you can say that her looks will run out, but asian women have a pretty long shelf life. will she ever get her turn to suffer or is it just tough sh%$ for those who are not pretty?

Life's not fair so the people who get by on their looks forever got lucky. There's no balance that's owed to everyone else, so I wouldn't expect them to change.

 

Eventually she'll land a permanent guy and he'll treat her like crap.

 

I work in legislative matters in my state. It is amazing the number of female lobbyists who get decent money who are dumb as stumps. I am talking well into six figures.

My wife is a lobbyist, and she looks good but at least she earned a law degree and has some brains. Some of these others just look good.

My cousin got a six figure job because she looked good as a sales rep for a dot com, but that went under and she has had it tougher since then.

Just the way of the world I guess.

some people are gifted with a brain, and they make the best out of it. others are gifted with looks, and they work that.

Which one is better in the long term? I would say intelligence, as it doesn't fade. Super hot people will have it really good for a while, but it may not last.

i get by on my looks sometimes... (i'm not saying i'm anything spectacular, but i don't think you really have to be, just young and female.) but i'm really really independent, i just love being taken care of. i think there's a big difference between a girl who uses her looks to get by because she has to, and a girl who uses her looks to get by because she can. i can pay all my bills and still have money to go out and buy myself dinner at a nice restaurant, but if some poor SOB is willing to foot the bill, then why not?

life is rough for everyone. you do what you have to to get by. if it just so happens that the only thing you have going for you is your looks, then yea you're going to take full advantage of that. the other part of this equation is the chumps who're letting these broads get by on just a pretty face alone...

also, if anything, i've found that being young, female, and decent looking can put you at a disadvantage in a lot of situations. people ALWAYS assume that i'm going to be some airhead (maybe because of stereotypes perpetuated by people like the OP??? hmmm.... haha, i'm kidding, kind of) so i'm constantly having to prove that i'm NOT just another dumb girl. it drives me crazy.
