That is a local price. Has not been that cheap around here (including walmart) in a long time.

I picked up 2 5qt containers at a local WalMart in south Florida for the same price. cdelena - do you want me to buy some and ship them over to you? .

Nice of you to offer, even in jest. It currently is available here at $4.05/qt. with a rare sale at $3.98. Just a matter of what you can squeeze out of the local market I guess. And we get to pay 8.25% sales tax on it.. but that is not terribly bad considering it is only 35% more than when introduced and inflation over the period has been 337% (it should cost over $10). Overall petroleum and related products are a bargain in this country.

I just got it for the same price at the Walmart here. Remember, it's the 5 qt. econo-size, not quart size. It was hidden all the way up on the top shelf wihtout a price - had to have them scan it.

337% inflation? Just how long do you think that Mobil has been selling their synthetic?
