Very sad indeed...

 

I was really shocked. Of all the celebrities today, she really seemed to be one of the admirable ones that has her head on straight...I'm still pretty speechless about it.

 

I was not aware of it until I saw this post and thought it was a joke at first ... What a waste, she's a good and talented singer.

 

Also, I didn't know about this til today, but R Kelly is her husband.

 

 

I must be too old at 36, who is Aaliyah? I have never heard of her.

I saw this on the news yeasterday and was shocked. I couldn't believe that it happened to her. She was so young and talented.

 

This tragedy lends itself to metaphor: She was killed by the weight of the trappings of her own fame -- the cameras and other equipment that her entourage insisted on taking with them.

 

She had just finished filming the Matrix 2. Saw details on MTV....very sad.

Makes one stop to consider why the pilot agreed to fly with all of the baggage after telling them they couldn't carry it all. You would think safety would always come first....guess not.
