That stuff is delicious.

And it must make you go a little crazy because one night when I had about half the bottle, I decided it would be a good idea to just drink it straight (and warm, I had been drinking it 1:2 with water keeping the bottle in the freezer.) However in my drunken state I had forgotten to put it back in the freezer.

Needless to say I immediately vomited in the sink. Then my friend who was also rather drunk stuck a knife down the sink and turned on the grinder-dealy.

put the ice water in the galss

rest the cube on the strainer

pout the absinthe over the cube

light the cube on fire and let it cook down a bit

after it goes out drop the cube into the glass and stir until dissolved.

= much better method and drink

you will also want a proper kit with glasses and special spoons for this technique

there are many many drink recipies out there for absinthe

google it
