we have roughly 275 workers here.... if you hurt yourself on the job you get workers comp....if it is long term, you get 100% pay for the first XX number of weeks (the XX depends on how long you have worked here), then you go to 60% for something like 2 years...... at that point you would be collecting the Gov't disability....

I just don't like the idea of people who can't afford to live right spending the $ to gamble on cancer insurance..... but damned if I were to talk someone out of it, you know they would get cancer and call me an a-hole.

I generally avoid friends who tell me they're selling insurance or selling something... hate these salespeople as much as I gym memberships people and meter maids (scums of the earth)!

Disabililty insurance is good to have even for those of us in jobs that have a low risk of on-the-job injury.

A friend of mine is a doctor who is unable to work due to a serious problem with his back. If he didn't have disability coverage he would be in a mess with debt from med school and no income to repay loans and pay bills.

I have disability coverage, although not through AFLAC. There's no way on earth I could live off of government disability benefits.

aren't there much better plans for disability than AFLAC? I only associate AFLAC with rip-off.
