Grab a camera and go get some photographic evidence.

Interesting....I fought the law on my sport bike many times and frequently won. If you are right you may be a winner. It goes like this. A "screwdriver" takes orange juice, water, vodka, ice, and a glass. If you don't have the vodka you don't have a screwdriver. I used this analogy several times to my benefit in California for tickets on the ALL MIGHTY Angeles Forest Highway (when they caught me). If the officer was wrong about the speed limit you may be in luck

Do you mean something like this?

I have others too! hehe

Dude, did you get the ticket in Chicago? If so, claim not guilty and you will get a court date...go to court and it is pretty unlikely the copper will show.

Sorry to hear that!

Always take it to court. I got a ticket for doing double the speed limit. Very serious so I had this big defense all put together and somewhere between then and my court date they lost the ticket. Never filed, so I got off. Luck helps but it's always worth a try!

Wow I wish I lived there...Cops get time and a half in most states so rarely do they miss an engagement. If you got lucky YOUR LUCKY! As for the lost ticket you only lucked out until you get pulled over again and they find that outstanding warrant. Trust me I know! I street raced sport bikes for years. I've forgotten more citation stories then most will ever have.......

FK, that SUCKS. Trust me I can relate. BTW, do a search on speeding tickets, you will find tons of helpful info on how to fight your speeding ticket.

Thanks for the info.

So on my to work this morning I confirmed that the posted speed limit is 40 not the 35 the officer wrote on my ticket.

So now I definitely plan to take this to court and see if I can fight it.

Maybe I'll get lucky....
