^^ ha, i got that beat by over $100! the catch? oh yeah...it's under my dad's name. i pay insurance on the car my name is on, which is $300/6mos.
for an idea of timeframe and rates, I used to pay about $200 a month for my coverage for my 1996 Prelude Si when I was 18/19 - I bought the car so the insurance was in my name.

When I had my license for 3 yrs (shortly after turning 19) my payments dropped to something like $120ish (I think) per month for my 1996 Si.

I bought a 1999 Prelude when I was 21, rates were $420 for the state mandated coverages + collision. No extras and $500 deductible.

When I traded in the Si and bought the S2000 my 6mo premium increased by $40 (yeah, I thought it'd be a lot more too).

I moved from Charlotte to Matthews (Matthews is a suburb of Charlotte) and my rates dropped about $80, dropped my premiums and they increased about $40.

I was shopping around for rates for the 99 Si (I think) and was checking things liek progressive, allstate, etc. They all quoted me around $800-900/6mo, GEICO was around half of that and I had pretty good experiences with them before. Goes to show what shopping around can do.

02 S2000

650/6months

Alot of accidents when I was younger, moving violations, had a suspended license for a year due to something stupid. My insurance agent has been really good with me and I'm more than happy getting the price I have for it. But I think some of those incidents have cleared since its been over 5 yrs. Dont really remember which ones though.

Just called my Insurance company.

1200 for a 04 every 6 months. For an 06 it would be around 1350.

I prefer an AP2, but I think I might give them call later on a quote for an AP1. I just might have to wait until I am 20 so those rates can go down.

I pay $1416 every 6 months. I've been made the exception too because my accident wasn't counted against me, only my age was...
