Default air cleaners

what you guys think about these air purifiers from sharper image? do any of you have one and does it work?

i have so much dust build up in my bedroom, and i find myself sneezing so i think i might try one of these, but they are damn expensive.

I was told that those don't work well at all for filtering air. If you want clean air, you should go looking for a HEPA filter.

I have read and read that they are crap. They produce Ions which i read that are not good for some people.
Filtering sucks and it doesnt remove odors like smoke.
