Default To all our men and women of the Armed forces..

I guess you can say I am just a little depressed today. My brother got deployed sometime today to the war. I don't know where he's going... don't know when we are going to be able to talk. I am really close to him, so it hurts a lot. He's the second one to go to war (older bro went to Desert Storm), and technically this is his second time he goes off to fight for our country (same time last year he went away for 3 weeks to Afganistan). Even though it is the second time he goes off, it doesn't make it any better. So as I sit here and hope all goes well, just want for everyone to send a prayer out for our men and women of the armed forces, who are out there fighting for our country and the freedom we love. I also wonder if anyone out there is going through what I am going through, and has a loved one fighting for our country?

All I can say is GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.

My prayers go to your brother and all in the armed forces. I have a son in the Air Force that has been sent to Germany and we have been out of contact with him for a couple of weeks now. It sure hurts not knowing where a loved one is and if they are safe.
Thanks for your post. It helps to hear from others during this time.

I already know three people that already left for Iraq, but one was my very good cousin. It was so immediate when he told me that he was leaving soon, and all I told him was good luck, better come home safe. I've also heard other friends of my best friends being sent also, and that my best friends were sad too. Good luck to them all!

My thoughts and prayers go out to every man and woman in uniform and their families here at home.

Thank you for your service. Thank you for dedication. Thank you for the protection and comfort that you provide me and my family. May God bless each and every one of you and bring you home safely and quickly.

Seriously folks. You don't have to agree with a war with Iraq but you should support the men and women of our armed services. Argue the policies (if you are so inclined) but don't forget those that bravely protect your right to do so.

Godspeed.

Your brother will be in my prayers Cindy, as all the men and women in the Armed Forces serving our country to protect our freedoms and liberties.

God Speed to our troops in the Middle East and all across the world.

Thanks for everyone kinds word. My sister-in-law called me around 4pm crying, saying he had just left. She'll be coming down to Miami while he's gone, and well there isn't much else but waiting to hear from him again. He said he was anxious to go, because this is what he trains for and this is why he joined the Air Force.

Da Hapa well said... and thanks again everyone. Prayers go out during this time for everyone out there fighting for our country or dealing with the war in their own countries.

My son-in-law just went over. Part of a reserve unit that was called up. He can't tell us where he is but its a good bet the temperatures will be getting warmer in the near future. Down side is my daughter, his wife, is 5 months pregnant. He is guessing that he won't be home for almost a year or perhaps longer. I am sorry that he will miss some of their baby's firsts. We are taking lots of pictures so he keep up with all the changes.

As an aside it is going to be humorous to see mom and daughter at the Lamaze classes.
