The only way to control them was to get a few shotguns and a couple of mates round.
I can report a good time was had by all.

Just in case any of you guys got the wrong idea, I did not shoot any of the cats. I was not there but heard about it the next day.
To be perfectly honest though, it would not have bothered me in the slightest.
Have you ever seen a cat play with its prey for minutes if not hours before it slowly kills it. Not a pretty sight.
Nature is extremely harsh, deal with it and accept it.
We are different from most animals on this planet because we have the ability to reason. It is therefore sometimes kinder to cull animals before they cause a major nuisance to a wider population.

(They jump on my car!!).
In our current neighborhood most of the stray cats eventually become coyote fodder, to their owners' grief. One neighbor lost four or five cats this way till he wised up and kept his last cat indoors.
I've had dogs jump up on the side of my car and do far worse damage than my cat, who doesn't use his claws when he hops up on the hood (on the rare occasion that he gets into the garage).
In addition, the cats in my neighborhood are getting no complaints; however, the dogs that some thoughtless, moronic owners are allowing to roam the neighborhood are killing cats, turning over trash cans, and terrorizing people like ME who walk my dogs on a leash. It wasn't TWO days ago that 3 dogs came trotting out of nowhere and threatened me, my dogs, and John David, who happened to be with me at the time.
Thanks, I'll take a stray cat over a stray dog ANY day, but the point is that there shouldn't BE any strays. Educated, responsible pet ownership eradicates this ever happening, but I guess it's too much to ask that people take responsiblity for their own actions and property.

I don't care for cats because they make me sick. I mean literally speaking, they make sneeze, cough, itchy water eyes, itchy watery throat well you get the picture!! It's like allergy season at it's peak.
