Just to add my .02,

I know my girlfriend once became friends with this guy and as soon as he found out she was taken (she didn't mention it for a couple weeks) suddenly he ditched her. Obviously it wasn't simply friendship he was after. She was pretty hurt by this.

Ever since then she's kind of paranoid about any guy that is acting simply "nice" towards her because she never knows if it's genuine or just a "nice", long, pickup line. So she's been known to drop the "my boyfriend...blahblah" and I can understand why.

So many bad guys out there make it harder for the "nice" ones

I think you're just too sensitive, I've noticed a lot of girls are really into their guys, so their guy is the center of their topic. Everything is, oh yea my b/f likes this blah blah so forth. This is from a friend speaking to a friend, not strangers. So I think they just refer to their b/f since that's all they can refer to.

IF they were interested in you however, they would probably not mention it and try to appear single.

Yes girls are very weird creatures

this is funny..

hate to break it to you but girls always pull "i have a BF" when they sense u are hitting on them and they are not interested.

Best reply is " Yeah I know what you mean.. my BOYFRIEND blah blah blah also"

that'll really catch them off guard. hahahaha

From what I understand from women is that in their head every man on the planet wants to bed them.
